The December screenshot competition.

Thank you so you much for entering the competition as one of our FC activities. I have been very fortunate to be allowed to set up this event and try to manage it. I could not have done it without help.

The rules were to take a screenshot in Final Fantasy 14 of a landscape. You were not allowed to include people if you can help it, and to use GPOSE screenshot tools. No things that make your screen look pretty so we keep it all the same.

The Winning screenshot will get the mount on the right!!

I want to say thank you to everyone. If your screenshot didn’t win, do not loose heart as every single one was special to me and you are the best FC in the world. There’s always a next one and you can even give us ideas please!

What a lovely shot at a birds eye level looking at this famous castle. I really like the clouds in the background and the eerie feeling I get when I look at it. A little gloomy for me. – Picture by Cora
A dark night with a look at the fairy castle. I love the clouds and the silver aura around the wings. That castle is really contrasted against the purple sky. It makes me a bit gloomy. Great picture – Picture by Cora
A rising piece of land with waterfalls streaming down from it. Look closer and you can see a forest with golds and purple leaves and an aetherite crystal. This one was one of my favourites. – Picture by Cora
Super high picture taken of the plains. There are two aetherite crystals to be seen and huge legs that hold up the castle! I really like that sunset sky. – Picture by Cora
An underwater shot taken of a huge pagoda palace. The seaweeds look like trees and the suns rays pierce the dark waters. Great caustic effects on the floor. This one was a favourite. – Picture by Cora
A golden hall where the there is a mashup of Egyptian and Roman styles. That sun in the background is huge! Lovely golds and reflections. Made me feel like I want to be there. One of my favourites. – Picture by Elma
The peaks of needle style mountains rise up through the mist and clouds. The trees on the remote mountains. I can smell the crisp cold air. – Picture by Kuku
An artistic style with a nice vignette really set the scene of a remote sterile beach with a dark sea. Looking at the horizon scares me. Very atmospheric! – Picture by Kulkart

The offshore castle! Nice clear view and really shows how high and colourful it is. The shipwrecked boats and shanty town buildings at the base are very clear. – Picture by Lost Soldier
A super high great photo of this famous oriental styled city in on a wet night. When you zoom in you can see the reflections in the shiny wet and the aetherite plaza below. Everyone must be staying indoors. – Picture by Lost Soldier
The port of a famous city looking out across the plaza. The huge statue with the eternal bucket of water roaring down. That starry sky looks amazing. The distant buildings on the horizon can be seen against the dark sky. – Picture by Lost Soldier

I like these ones with post processing adjustments made with the eye. Add another level of feeling I feel in my tummy – not sure that explains it very well but its a nice feeling. Really nice – Picture from Kulkart.

THE WINNER GOES TO ELMA – i chose this one because it has a great Depth of Field effect, lots of sandstone and details in the cliffs of the village. It has a waterfall and broken bridge. I show this to my mom and she was asking where it was as she thought it was a real photo – bless her – but this one wins!
